We of the New Arts Cultural Society and our performing choir, the New Dimensions Choral Society, are proud to once again partner with the Community Foundation of North Louisiana and participate in this wonderful charitable fundraising event!
The IRS tax deadline was Apr. 18. Wish you’d donated more to charity so you’d get a bigger refund? Or did you get a nice refund and want to do something good with it? Please donate to us from Apr. 18–May 2 at: giveforgoodnla.org/organization/NEWARTSCULTURALSOCIETY

The Community Foundation of North Louisiana describes this wonderful giving opportunity:

The Community Foundation is thrilled to commemorate our 10ᵗʰ year of North Louisiana’s largest day of giving on May 2. Since its inception in 2014, Give For Good has inspired generosity from thousands of people like you who have given more than 70,000 donations, generating over $16 million in critical funding for local nonprofits that make our community stronger.

Last year, 4,500+ donors came together to raise a record $2.3 million for 214 area nonprofits. With a minimum donation amount of only $10, everyone can be a philanthropist. Simply visit giveforgoodnla.org to give directly to your organizations of choice.

How to Give:

  1. Visit giveforgoodnla.org from April 18–May 2.
  2. Find your favorite causes and add as many organizations to your cart as you like.
  3. Give your best and check out in one easy step. You’ll receive a tax receipt immediately.

The best part? All gifts are amplified by the Lagniappe Fund, a bonus pool of over $200,000 that is awarded through pro rata matching and prizes. Since 2014, the Lagniappe Fund has awarded more than $2.2 million in bonus funds and prizes to participating nonprofits.

Together we can create a stronger, more vibrant North Louisiana!

Mr. Bobby Wiggins, NACSI Founder & NDCS Artistic Director

Mr. Bobby Wiggins is a name well known to many. He helped revitalize interest in the Negro Spiritual in this region. He was an accomplished music teacher in our area (including opening Southern University—Shreveport’s choral program), and founded the New Arts Cultural Society and served as the Artistic Director of its choir the New Dimensions Choral Society until his passing in 2017.

Please join us at Baptist Bible Fellowship for a tribute to this great man, featuring the New Dimensions Choral Society choir that he founded and directed, the Heritage Chorale from Baton Rouge under the direction of Clarence Jones that he helped inspire, and past students of his including John Collins and Brenda Wimberly.
